Our Passion For SDGs
…saving lives, improving livelihood, empowering women, and protecting the environment. Our solutions contribute to an enabling environment and directly deliver across 10 of the SDGs:
1. No Poverty: Clean cooking saves households money and time.
2. Zero Hunger: Efficient Cookstoves reduces the amount of fuel needed to cook thus reducing burden on families who would otherwise have to collect it, buy it, or trade their food for it.
3. Good Health and Wellbeing: Reducing smoke emissions from cooking decreases vulnerability to diseases.
4. Quality Education: Children particularly girls her often kept out of school to contribute to household tasks like cooking and collecting fuel wood.
5. Gender Equality: Unpaid working including collecting of fuel wood remain a major cause of gender inequality.
6. Affordable and Clean Energy: Clean cooking is essential to addressing energy poverty.
7. Decent work and Economic Growth: energy access enables enhanced productivity and inclusive growth.
8. Sustainable Cities and Communities: Clean cooking addresses households and ambient air pollution, resource efficiency and climate vulnerability.
9. Climate Action: Clean cooking solutions address the most basic need of the poor while also delivering climate benefits.
10. Life on Land: Up to 34% of wood fuel harvested is unsustainable contributing to forest degradation, deforestation and climate change.
We are passionate of each of these SDGs because we strongly believe they are human rights, and we are committed in ensuring everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status have access to them.
